Just a bit of local promotion… Rochester will be celebrating its annual Sweeps Festival this Bank Holiday Weekend, Saturday May 3rd - Monday 5th.

A festival celebrating May Day and the beginning of Spring, Sweeps attracts Pagans, Wiccans, Folk fans and Goths alike. There’s Morris dancing, maypole dancing, lots of beer and plenty of folk concerts. The atmosphere is wonderful and you’ll get to see LOADS of different Morris Dancer groups (”sides”), including the very Goth-friendly Maenads and Wolf’s Head & Vixen (pictured above!)

I’ll be in Rochester the whole time, helping out my parents at the family shop (Spiral). Drop in and buy some celtic jewellery, gothic gifts or even a suit of armour (yes, it is for sale!) Or simply come in and say hello!
