Why no child is safe from the sinister cult of emo

From the Daily Mail:

Hannah Bond

Hannah was a happy 13-year-old until she became an ‘emo’ – part of a sinister teenage craze that romanticises death…[Click here to read the full story]

Trellia’s comment: The headline would’ve made me laugh, if it wasn’t for the tragic story behind it. “Sinister cult??” What about all the teens out there who find a sense of belonging, individuality and expression through Emo?

As I expressed when I first reported this story, parents and the media will be blaming Emo on all teenage problems now – just as Goth was deemed the root of all evil after the Columbine massacre. And now Goth is portrayed as positively rosy in the media – I’ve even heard it being called “the new hippy movement!”

Perhaps Emo will be regarded similarly…in about 10 years.
